A Tail of New Beginnings

About Vonie

BS in Physical Activity & Exercise, BS in Community Health, Portland State University, EGCM-certified (Equine Gestalt Coaching Method, a 2 year certification program in Gestalt – Therapy, NLP, Somatics, & other coaching skills), Certified Personal Trainer, ACE, Holistic Lifestyle Coaching Level I, C.H.E.K. Institute, CPR/First Aid-certified, RCA-20 (2017)

Vonie is a Life Coach who is certified in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method, a therapeutic technique in which a horse is an active partner in the clients’ exploratory process.

Vonie always loved working out, but started taking group fitness classes regularly after her son was born. She became hooked and wanted to teach, and thus her career in fitness began. In her forties, she graduated with a double major from Portland State University. She has taught physical education at the college level for several years.

Vonie has a very special place in the history of Reembody; long before Kevin Moore founded the Reembody Method, he took his first Pilates class from Vonie during his own college days. Nearly 14 years later, she saw a post from a friend about the RCA-20 training, and knew she had to take the course to see what her smartest student was up to.

Vonie’s philosophy is simple: movement and nutrition are the best medicine for living a healthy life. Helping others achieve health and wellness has been her passion for years; Reembody now helps her do that in another way. Says Vonie: “I love how [The Reembody Method] takes movement and creates changes in the body, relieving pain relief and restoring balance.”
